Experience design for a financial application onboarding process

The goal of this project was to reduce onboarding friction for financial application users by designing a configurable web application builder.

The data intake step of the website builder takes place right after the first user is added.
This is the empty state just before adding a template to the dot grid workspace.
The first step in configuring the new website is to select the template type. Here the Investor template has been chosen and is previewed in a slide-in panel.
After the Investor template preview is saved, the form fields display in the workspace grid with edit buttons for each section of the form.
The edit button for The Basic Info section has been selected and the email field is being dragged into the form.
Next the email field properties are input using the Properties panel.
The email field has been added to the Basic Info section, and the user now selects the Preview button.
The data intake form is previewed in a slide-in panel. From there the form can be published or edited more.
